GP Shipping is delighted to have handled the first ever delivery of wind energy convertors into the port of Inverness, working closely with the port management.

Delivery of five E-70 type turbines arrived at the port during October, carried on two shipments onboard mv 'Merweriver' and mv 'Anne Dort' they are destined for the Corrimony Wind Farm.

The discharge operation direct to transport was successfully co-ordinated by GP Shipping, working in close partnership with both William Whyte Cargo Handlers and Mar-Train Heavy Haulage.

Inverness was the ideal geographical location and is very well placed for wind farm projects in this area, Nick Kellar, Marketing Director for GP Shipping commented that, "The high quality quay side storage area is ideal for this type of project."
